Terms and Conditions Kaya in Balance
Effective from: 25 December 2025, Zurich
Scope of Services
Kaya in Balance offers complementary bodywork, Shiatsu, energy-based and somatic practices intended to support relaxation, self-awareness and overall wellbeing. These services are non-medical and do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.
Booking & Appointments
Sessions are offered by appointment only. By booking a session, the client confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
Payment
Payment is due on the day of the session, before or immediately after the treatment. Accepted payment methods are cash (CHF) and TWINT. Online payments are not available at this time.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time free of charge. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are charged 100% of the session fee.
Illness Policy
Clients who are ill or show signs of illness (e.g. fever, acute infection, heavy coughing) cannot receive a session. Failure to cancel at least 24 hours in advance will be charged as a no-show.
Contraindications & Health Information
Clients must inform the practitioner in advance of relevant health conditions. The practitioner reserves the right to refuse, adapt, or discontinue a session if treatment is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
Substance Use
Sessions cannot be attended under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair communication or behaviour. Such sessions will be refused and charged in full.
Late Arrivals
Late arrival shortens the session. The full session fee still applies.
Behaviour & Boundaries
Any aggressive, inappropriate or boundary-violating behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session, with the full fee payable.
Additional Terms for Home Visits
Home visits are offered by prior agreement and subject to availability. Travel time within the Zurich area (maximum 45 minutes driving distance from the practitioner’s home) is included in the session price. Home visits are offered on Saturdays only.
The client is responsible for providing a safe, clean and suitable environment. Parking must be available close to the home, as the practitioner carries all equipment. If only paid parking is available, the parking fee will be added to the session invoice.
Pets may be present provided they are safe to be around. Family members (e.g. partner, spouse, children) may be present at the client’s discretion. The practitioner reserves the right to refuse or terminate a home visit if safety, suitability or professional boundaries are compromised. In such cases, the full session fee remains payable. The same cancellation and illness policies apply to home visits.
Liability
Clients participate in sessions at their own responsibility. Kaya in Balance accepts no liability for consequences arising from incomplete or inaccurate health information.
Insurance & Reimbursement
Reimbursement depends on individual supplementary insurance policies. Kaya in Balance does not guarantee reimbursement.
Confidentiality & Data Protection
All personal and health-related information is treated confidentially and handled in accordance with Swiss data protection regulations.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Switzerland.
